Remarks

The manuscript belongs to a collection known as the 'Buildwas books', which reflect the wealth of the original owner, Robert Amiclas (p. 53). Amiclas likely recorded these notes while attending Peter Comestor's lectures in Paris between 1165 and 1175 (p. 54). The notes are often brief and impressionistic (p. 54).
