Remarks

In the Iron Age II period, there is a documented increase in pottery featuring surface decoration such as red slip, often combined with burnishing (p. 273). Some of these vessels, specifically flat plates and bowls, are classified as Red Slip Burnished Ware (p. 278). The progressive diffusion of Red Slip Burnished Ware at Sabuniye reflects broader regional trends in the Amuq Valley (p. 278).
