"The most commented glazed pottery was that called lustreware, with golden metallic glaze on a white ground, a Persian style known in Spain from at least the twelfth century."
Remarks
The technique was of Persian inspiration and was practiced in Calatayud (12th c.) and later Málaga and Manises. Persian lustreware potters famously migrated to Málaga in the late 13th century (p. 14).
