Remarks

The script of the Maqālāt (Süleymaniye Kütüphanesi, Fatih 2788) is identified specifically as naskh (p. 262, fn 719). The author notes that the naskh script in the 'Sātī group' of manuscripts broadly resembles the calligraphic style associated with 14th-century Konya, distinct from contemporary Iraqi or Iranian styles (p. 268). Fatih 2788 is suspected to be part of a multi-volume work along with manuscript Darülmesnevi 271 due to their identical calligraphic and decorative properties (p. 262, fn 719). The original binding is described as brown leather (p. 262).
