Remarks

This manuscript is a copy of the 'Kitab-i Sultan Müseyyeb Gazi' containing 233 folia (p. 175). It was copied in 1820 by Kılıçoğlu Mılla İsmail (p. 175). The manuscript functioned as a religious endowment (vakıf) for the tekke of Şeyh Ahmed Dede (p. 172). Colophons and family marginalia provide evidence of its use in educational networks in Malatya (p. 170-172). Physical inspection via photography (Fig 5, p. 183) shows a bound volume with visible wear and staining consistent with communal use.
