"the first one showed bands characteristic of realgar (As4S4) located at 188, 198, 226, 349 and 359 cm-1, while the second one presented bands characteristic of its photo-degradation product para-realgar (As4S4)."
Remarks
Found on MEK-MS-1. The coexistence of para-realgar attests to the high age of the manuscript, as realgar naturally photo-degrades over long periods even with minimal light exposure (p. 119).
