Remarks

Coptic bookbinding structures include laminated papyrus boards with leather covers (p. 256). These boards were often constructed using composite materials, including recycled paper fragments and vegetal fibers used as fillers (p. 256, n. 16). The author mentions that Abba Gärima Gospel 1 is attached to a laminated papyrus board where traces of a leather cover are still visible (p. 263).
