Remarks
Orpiment pigment is two types including yellow and red. Orpiment yellow pigment is widely used in the East. Pure orpiment has a lemon light color with high clarity and brightness. It is noted as dangerous and toxic; to prevent explosion and toxic gases, it should be pulverized gently in water (p. 13, Note 31 on p. 17).
