"Many Spanish and Moroccan papers between 1166–7 and 1360 have a characteristic ‘zigzag’ mark, in ‘comb’ or diagonal cross form running from the upper to the lower margin."
Remarks
They appear on laid paper with chain lines placed at regular intervals (p. 297, Fig. 216). This mark is also found on Italian watermarked papers (p. 297).
