Remarks

Ink identification is complicated by the nature of the Genizah as a non-ordered deposit where contents were turned over continuously (p. 16). Several inks might appear on a single document due to later additions (e.g., T-S 16.124) or corrections (T-S 8J29.12) (p. 25). The corpus includes material such as pen trials (p. 15). Analysis aimed to check if specific scribal practices could be associated with religious communities (Rabbanites vs. Karaites) (p. 25).
