Remarks

MS AAN1 shows evidence of distinct periods of use. The primary layer of annotations matches the hand of the main text, while a secondary layer utilizes a noticeably different ink and was added at a later date. This second layer provides evidence of subsequent scholarship and interactions with the text (p. 116, 118).
