"Manuscripts: (1) Mukallā, No. 230, 222 sheets, 22.2 x 15.5 cm, European paper, middle-size Ḥaḍramī nasḫ. The Islamic date 1002 (1594 AD) at the end of the manuscript marks, most likely, the time when the copy had been accomplished."

Remarks

The manuscript (No. 230) is a historical work on the annals of Hadramawt. It is identified by the cataloger as being written on European paper (p. 80). The dimensions of the sheets are specifically recorded as 22.2 x 15.5 cm. While the Islamic date 1002 AH suggests a 16th-century origin, scholar R. B. Serjeant argues that this particular copy is 'new and defective', preferring a different exemplar found in Hurayḍa (p. 80).
