Compared to all the inks mentioned, the peacock ink has the most amounts of ingredients (p. 153). It contains iron components (vitriol). It is very stable when in contact with water and showed only the slightest amount of haloing after one hour of immersion (p. 153).

Evidence

"Under visible light, the fluid peacock ink looks black with a dark blue/violet undertone. It leaves very little feathering but under FCIR, it appears dark brown."

Remarks

After iron gall ink, peacock ink is the hardest ink to remove through mechanical means (p. 153). Its penetration rate into paper is 11%, which is less than iron gall ink. SEM-EDX revealed the iron content penetrated 32.2% into the substrate (p. 153).
