Remarks

Comprehensive physical data for the paper substrates of 90 manuscripts are provided. The indices distinguish between the 'exemplar' (the original manuscript leaf) and the 'mount' (the structural backing). Precise dimensions for both are recorded for each Shlf-Mk (shelf-mark). For example, entry 88 has an exceptionally large mount size of 532 x 790 and an exemplar size of 532 x 790, while entry 90 measures 560 x 490 (mount) and 410 x 340 (exemplar) (pp. 176-180).
