Remarks

The manuscript BnF Arabe 5502 is a composite of diverse paper stocks. It contains both laid and wove papers with a significant variety of watermarks: a goat shield with 'GL' and 'LEVERATTO' (comparable to Heawood 3739), multiple variations of the Britannia motif in both round and oval frames, and complex heraldic coats of arms featuring lions, horses, and harps.
