Remarks

This paper amulet is part of the Tonegawa Collection in Madrid (p. 23). Footnote 29 (p. 26) mentions that while Sebastian Gaspariño dates the object (TP1-1) to the tenth century based on epigraphy, the author of this paper disagrees with that assessment, dating it to the thirteenth century or later (p. 23).
