A pistachio green or light green tone was achieved by mixing the copper-based green pigment malachite with the copper-based blue pigment azurite (p. 265).

Evidence

"This special colour tone is obtained from the colour combination of Malachite + Azurite (Fig. 5-175). These two copper-based pigments, one blue and the other green, cause the existence of this particular tonality of green."

Remarks

This tonality is widely used in Lahijan paintings and is easily recognizable, serving as a special pigment combination for this regional style (p. 265).
