"Azurite was used in the Shāhnāma manuscripts AKM 6, RAS 239 and It was used to paint the robes and backgrounds. In fact, azurite was used to obtain a lighter blue in comparison to ultramarine blue and indigo."
Remarks
Recognizable in XRF by characterizing Cu lines at 8.04 (K̑) and 8.90 (K̒) keV with Ba impurities (p. 100). FORS shows maximum absorbance at 640 nm and reflectance zone at 450-490 nm (p. 100).
