Remarks

The study focuses on 15th-century Persian painting schools associated with specific cities: Shiraz, Herat, Lahijan, and Qazvin. Nine Shāhnāma manuscripts were analyzed, including Or 420, Ms 22-1948, AKM 4, AKM 5, and AKM 269 (attributed to Shiraz/Turkman styles), RAS 239 (The Royal Workshop of Herat), AKM 6 (Lahijan), and Persian 933 (Qazvin style). Ten micro-samples were subjected to semi-destructive analysis (SERS-Raman and HPLC-MS) to identify color materials and palettes (p. 12-15).
