Remarks

In the late fifteenth-century remedy book HEHL, MS HM 64, rubrication is used as a formal marker. The scribe employs red pigment for capitals at the start of verse lines to signal the poetic form to the reader, even though the text layout itself mimics prose (p. 121-122).
