The plaque is made from the ivory of a mature elephant tusk and decorated with paint (p. 111). The painting uses a wide palette to represent various textiles and attire, including green, orange, mustard yellow, and several shades of blue (p. 111).

Evidence

"Material: Ivory of mature elephant tusk, paint... Textiles adorning the elephants seating the royalties are in green and orange. The royalties attire is mustard yellow, white, light blue, orange, dark blue, yellow."

Remarks

The ivory miniature (AIA.0362.2010) depicts a Mughal ceremonial procession. The artwork uses shadows and perspective to render minute faces in detail (p. 111). Some drapes are decorated to give the effect of gold embroidered textiles (p. 111).
