Remarks

In an illustrated copy of the 'Conference of the Birds' (INV.NO.14988) dated to 1465 AD, cobalt blue is used to depict the lowermost cushion in a scene featuring a possibly Mongol seated man (p. 92). The manuscript is associated with the 'Turkman Commercial Style' (p. 92).
