Remarks

In the Quran held at KFCRIS (Ascension number: 4604), the headers are transcribed using Kufic script. The script is filled with white ink and set against a decorative background of spiraling stems and palmettes (p. 86). The manuscript was transcribed by Ahmad al-Mutatabib in Cairo in the 1330s (p. 86).
