Remarks

In this manuscript, the scribe achieves visual distinction through script variation rather than pigments; headings are distinguished by being larger and bolder (p. 101). The main text is written in a neat secretary hand (p. 101). A notable feature is the significant amount of marginal space left around the remedies (p. 103). While this serves a practical purpose for annotations, it also mimics the aesthetics of costlier copies where blank space demonstrated the owner's wealth (p. 104).
