Evidence

Remarks

The text distinguishes between 'Qirtas' (derived from Chinese paper traditions) and 'Ruquq' (parchment/skin). The starch-based adhesive (nashastaj) is described as a 'Persian loanword' in the footnotes, indicating cross-cultural exchange in paper-making technologies (p. 149, 150).
