Remarks

The study analysed black inks from Ms. 3, 15 and 20 (p. 97). The identification was part of a larger study on the Arabic manuscript collection of Sacromonte Abbey in Granada, spanning the 11th to 17th centuries (p. 104). The use of gum arabic as a binder was identified using infrared spectroscopy in all cases (p. 96).
