Fold paper, cut in the middle. Take al-ashras with middle finger and smear lightly on the lower part of the gathering. Apply a paper and smear over it, then place another gathering over it so that its excess is on the other side. Place a paper over it and hold it with left hand and polish it with right hand.

"Then take paper by paper, fold them, and cut them in the middle. Let each half be on a wide area and more than it from its side, then take the *al-ashras* with your middle finger and the rest of your fingers closed, then smear the lower part of the gathering lightly on the book so that nothing falls from it. Then apply a paper from the paper and let its excess be to one side, then smear over it, then place another gathering over it—and this is my saying "opposing" so that its excess is on the other side—then place a paper over it and hold it with your left hand and polish it with your right hand."
