Recipe Details

Preparation Steps

Take pure gold, beat it into thin sheets, then cut it into small pieces. Then pour borax over it and grind it. Place it over the fire and blow on it until it melts. Then pour it onto a slab and grind it with a stone until it becomes like butter. Then gather it and squeeze it until the borax comes out of it. What remains is the gold. Return it to the slab and grind it again with wool and "Andarani" salt and the salt of food and Roman alum. If the color pleases you, add gum to it, then write with it.
