Preparation Steps
Take white gallnuts and crush them coarsely. Pour enough water to submerge them. Leave them until the strength of the gallnuts is extracted. Strain. Take green vitriol, as much as you wish. Grind it finely. Pour a little wine vinegar over it and knead it. Place it on a brick until its moisture is gone. Then grind it and improve its grinding, for that is the essence of the work. Then pour the gallnut water over it and beat it vigorously. Do not leave any Arabic gum unground; add as much as you wish and stir it.
