Preparation Steps

Take one part bee's honey, one part mica, and one part blue vitriol. Grind the vitriol, mica, and honey together. Place them in a gourd and an alembic and sublime them. Take what has been sublimed into a vessel and leave it in the sun for twenty days. Every day, grind one dirham of Arabic gum into it and stir it vigorously until the gum dissolves.
