Preparation Steps
Take twenty *mithqals* of sour pomegranate peel—if it is fresh, it is better; otherwise, use dry. Take the same amount of yellow myrobalan and twenty *mithqals* of gallnuts. Take two *mithqals* of Isfahan vitriol and some myrtle juice. Combine all of that and place it in the sun for forty days, then clarify it and put it in three bottles. Then take *zanjara* (verdigris), ground, and put it in another bottle and shake it; this is green ink.
