Ink Made with Mulberry Water

Recipe Details

Preparation Steps

Take the water that flows from the mulberry tree. Throw some ground Gum Arabic and a little green gallnuts into it. Do not use too many gallnuts, for it will burn. Hang it in the shade and add for every day the weight of a dirham of gum—do this five times in five days—to half a *ratl* of that water. Write with it, God willing.
