Take gallnuts, Gum Arabic, vitriol, and *qafaqiya* in equal parts. Grind the whole with carob water or fresh water until it dries. Then remove it and dissolve it when needed with Gum Arabic water and write with it.

Remarks

*Al-Qafaqiya* and *al-Aqaqiya* is the juice of the *Qirz*. *Al-Qirz* is the fruit of the Egyptian thorn tree known as *al-sunt*. From it, *al-Qafaqiya* is extracted.
