Take what you wish of date stones, then place them in a pot and cover them, and throw them in an oven for a day and a night until they burn. Then take them out, and the pot should be opened and the stones should have become like ash. Then grind them well and sift them with a cloth fine, then take gum and knead it with it every day twice and make it also into tablets and dry it in the shade [until it reaches its end], God the Exalted willing.

This recipe involves burning date stones until they become ash and grinding them with gum.
