Take cow fat and grease from fats like butter and like Ban oil and sesame oil and violet and naphtha, any oil it may be, and place it in a vessel and put upon it a lamp. Another vessel is placed under the vessel in which there is the oil or any oil you wanted until it becomes smoke or all of it becomes soot in the upper vessel. Then collect it and work with this smoke as you worked with the first ink. This blackness is suitable as a dye for the hair of the head, God the Exalted willing.
