Remarks

In the manuscript IES 286, black ink is used for the primary text. The script is identified as 'Hararī style' (p. 56), which is characterized by thin strokes of the letter 'kāf' and a specific layout for margins and vowels (p. 56). The author identifies the scribe as 'the man holding the qalam' who utilized esoteric knowledge to transpose characters in the text (p. 64). A 'black line' is used as a functional separation mark (p. 64).
