Analysis of manuscript Wälqiṭe (Zabi Molla 9) shows the first ten folios contain dense marginalia written by the same hand as the main text, attributed to the author (p. 256-257). The quantity of these notes diminishes toward the end of the codex (p. 257). This manuscript likely served as the Vorlage or model for the printed edition produced in Cairo (p. 256).
