"Or. 241 is copied on Western paper which provides a watermark. It consists of a hand or glove, topped by a star-like shape; papers with this watermark were made in Spain from the second quarter of the fourteenth century onwards."

Remarks

Or. 241 is described as a fragment of the Qur’an in Maghribi script. The watermark provides a specific date terminus post quem of the second quarter of the 14th century (p. 155). It is associated with the 'Maure-Espagnole' style.
